Godiva Fruit Acid Cream February 10, 2009

This is one of the best products I’ve tried that really really works, at least for me. This works to lighten freckles and age spots, reduce fine lines and moisturize skin. I used to have dark patches which are only noticeable to me on my forehead, I used this every night and has helped even out the color. But what’s really best about this product is it diminished all my black and whiteheads. The only thing I don’t like about this is when I wake up my face becomes really oily, more oily than usual. That’s okay, I can handle that.

When using this product always wear SPF and try not to stay out in the sun too long. Some people experience peeling when they tried this but not me, I guess I’m one of the lucky ones. This has not been a staple for me, I find the price a little steep for a maintenance cream I can’t always afford it but when I get some extra cash yeah I would definitely buy this again.

Godiva Anti-Blemish Astringent February 10, 2009

I tried this when I was battling with lots of acne before. I’ve read some reviews about this product that it does help with curing and preventing acne. It had seemed to work for me, it wasn’t miraculous or anything but it seemed to have helped a bit. I was able to finish one bottle and bought another one but I noticed that my skin was a lot more oilier than before when I used this. The reason I stopped using it was there were other products that I wanted to try as a toner. I never went back to this though, I prefer the toner I’m using right now.

Cyleina Rice Bran Soap January 20, 2009

I read that this soap is good for drying up pimples and for preventing them as well. I bought one at a Hortaleza store in Bicutan, it’s the closest branch to where I live that sells this soap. The scent of the soap is quite yummy well at least for me. The soap is a bit soft so it was easy to cut into cubes, I cut this into 6 pieces because it tends to melt or dillute fast when it gets contact with water. These helped me with my acne-problem, it seemed to have lessen it but it also dried up my skin. I think I finished 4 bars of this soap before I decided to switch to a non-drying facial wash. This soap would have been great if it did not dry my skin so bad. I found out that the drier my skin the more it becomes oily, I hope that made sense. So yes this works, if you don’t mind the dry skin I say try it out.

Cyleina Black Pearl Soap January 18, 2009

I bought this because I read a lot of raves about this soap for skin lightening. I had some discoloration before, my forehead was just slightly darker than the rest of my face and also where the temples meet my cheek bones.

My first impression of the soap is it’s quite soft like the Rice Bran variant. No strong smell which is good. I cut this in 4 triangular pieces and was planning to use it one at a time. First time I used this it was okay, my skin felt soft and it didn’t dry my skin. After a couple of more uses I got this very small cyst like acne on my forehead and some on my chin. I was thinking maybe my skin was just adjusting to the soap, so I used it some more. After a few more days well it doesn’t seem to help at all and small cystic acne kept coming so I had to stop using it. I might have been allergic to it because when I was using the Rice Bran I did not have that kind of reaction. So I just used it as a hand soap. By the way my mom also tried this and she had the same rection to it and she’s already over 60 and she hasn’t had acne for years till she used this.

A lot of user’s of this soap swears by it, so maybe I’m just one of the few unlucky people that can’t seem to get along with this soap too bad for me.

Clean & Clear Moisturizer w/ SPF 15 and Vit. C December 18, 2008

I’m currently using this as my evening moisturizer and sometimes in the morning. I saw this @ Watson’s and was a bit curious because it had Vit. C. One of our sisses on GT wrote that she uses it and she didn’t have any adverse reaction to it,  so the next day I bought one. I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks now or so I think, so far it works nicely with my oily-acne prone skin. Every after use it seems that it brightens your skin which is nice. I would have preferred a much higher SPF but 15 is good than none. Moisturizing is fairly well but if you have dry skin I don’t think that this would be enough. I would repurchase unless I could find a better product. By the way like I said in the beginning I only use this at night because in the morning or when I’m going to use my liquid foundation I use my Myra-E vitawhite moisturizer, I mix it with liquid foundie.

These toner is the yellow variant which is I think is recommended for those with oily skin. I bought this at Healthy Options, this is the smallest bottle for P60. Good thing I got this in the small bottle or I would have been really disappointed if I bought myself the big one. I didn’t like this toner because it didn’t do much for my skin. It didn’t really help with my oiliness or my time to time acne problems. One of the reasons I use toners is that it helps to take off any excess dirt that might not have come off when I wash with my cleanser. This doesn’t help with that because I use a cotton ball to apply this and always the cotton would only have a minimal trace of dirt even if I wore makeup same small amount of residue. I didn’t finish the bottle because it felt like the black heads are starting to build up on my face and I happen to have large pores. I switched to a local brand of toner and I had to say it was way more better than this one for only a fraction of the price. There are some people who still uses this because it seems to work for them but I personally would not recommend this because I didn’t see any difference or help at all.

Celeteque Oil Control Toner December 11, 2008

The only thing that made me want to try this was the witch hazel in the list of ingredients. Was it effective as an oil control toner? To me, NO. It didn’t help at all to control my oiliness and I didn’t notice anything remarkable to make me feel it did anything actually good for my skin. My skin type is acne-prone and oily, so I was really hoping that this would help somehow. This cost me like P100+ which is a lot more expensive than most toners I have tried. Obviously I never repurchased but I had a good use for the plastic bottle which now contains my home made brush cleanser.(^_^)
